Sandra Priest is the artist who is creating 9/11 memorial sculptures out of actual concrete and steel from The World Trade Center and Twin Tower area, concrete foundation slurry wall. The 9/11 Museum in New York City, has preserved a small part of this 7 story underground concrete foundation wall, for the public to see as they enter the lower part of the museum. This wall was poured almost 4 feet thick. These 17 cut out sections were the only ones saved for Sandra Priest the artist, to make them into historical sculptures. They were cut out to make room for the new subway as the wall was the last thing standing after 9/11 and is a true testament to our strength as a nation.
