Fly fishing or using light tackle is a great way to fish the inland and back bay waters around Sanibel Island and Fort Myers. I have been a Fort Myers and Sanibel Island fishing guide for 35 years. One and two anglers are ideal, but three are possible. You’ll be fishing from an 18-foot Maverick flats boat designed to fish in shallow grass flats, creeks, or bays. So, even on very windy days, we can be fishing in calm conditions protected by mangrove islands surrounding creeks and bays. We can use fly rods or conventional spinning gear (light tackle); the choice is yours. Fly rods, light tackle rods, and all accompanying tackle are provided for you at no additional cost, even your fishing license.
